Does anyone know the United Methodist Conference for the Syracuse area?

Donna:
Try the U. Meth. Historical Society for the Conference which covers
Onondaga County. There ought to be a Conference Journal available for 1891
or 1892 which would have an obit on Rev. Clark. All M. E. preachers and
wives are usually covered in these annual obits. Obit. should give info.
on his career, place of death, burial, etc. Since M. E. preachers (and U.
M. ones today) were on an appointment system from Conference/Bishop they
moved around often .. every second year they got a new assignment. This
can make finding them difficult on the census, if their move came while
census was being taken ... could be missed on both ends.
There is a United Methodist homepage on the WWW .. might find the info
there on Conference addresses in that part of NY State.
