Previously I said I would get back about James Coopers and related
English Coopers ASAP! David Cooper, direct descendant of James and an
expert on English Coopers, called me last nite, since his is moving and in
packing boxes! I had sent the previous James Cooper story and
genealogy messages questioned, to his previous address for forwarding;
thus delays for answers.
He states that the material presented on Ashley and James Coopers
had a number of errors. He is sending to me, after opening his packing
boxes, copies of the official documented genealogies which I shall share
upon receipt.
It was very appropriate to question the total story of James Cooper
getting to Phila. There are too many fabricated genealogy stories today,
which have caused other Cooper researchers to make airplane trips outside
of the USA for naught, to find mythical Coopers?
Lord Ashley Cooper, the first Earl of Shaftsbury, had many
accomplishments which we will report soon, including his 12 children, his
brother's connection to the subject James Cooper, cousin connections to
James Fenimore Cooper of NY State and land holdings in the new world! We will
also try to provide data about the connected Ashleys, Coopers, Gilberts, etc.
ancestors, including the cousin connection to Sir Walter Ralaigh! Related
Cooper data and history in England, Scotland & Ireland will follow also, in
due time! Please be patient!
We have made this quick effort with a ten year old XT computer,
backup, since two high powered computers are in the shop with Windows
problems?
