Jerry,

Peter van Buren was the minister of the Reformed Church in Nassau,
Rensselaer County. He came there as minister in 1814. The church history
says he came "from Clarkstown." A new church in Nassau was built in 1820, at
which time Van Buren left. The old parsonage where he lived is still
standing, I believe, next door to the east of the present church. The
present church was built on the site of the 1820 church. The church history
says the Church bought a house from Darius Morris as a parsonage in 1810. I
think this may have been just east of the 1820 parsonage, but I'm not
certain. I don't know anything more about Peter van Buren's family.
Possibly the Reformed Church archives in New Jersey would have information.
