A family branch from Portland, Maine, may have relocated to New York.
Possibly the Cypress Hills area.

Edward Lewis Stevens and his wife Sarah Ellen (Leavitt) Stevens.They had a
daughter b. in Portland Maine in 1856, who married in 1883 and lived in
Long Island.

Anyone researching Stevens family in New York? Or have any information on
the Maine linkage of Stevens or Leavitt?
