Hi! I live in the Buffalo area and was at the library this evening. The
library has most of the NYS and Fed census up to 1850. It has all the census
for Erie County (except 1890 which was destroyed in a fire) up to1925. Also
the Fed Soundex census for 1880.

The newspaper selection, on microfilm is good for the late part of the 19th
century
with many of the local papers kept on microfilm, for later date, in the
downstairs entry area of the facility. I have just started using the resources
available and am sure I do not have a true handle on all they have. I am not
sure of the availability of national papers. The phone # to call fro Genealogy
is (716) 858-7114. They are aware of the resources in the Microfilm Room.
