Thanks Susan. I know I got a copy from the 1900 Conference Journal [NY East
Conference, ME Church] from them with the obit & a photo of my wife's
great-grandfather the Rev. Arvine C. Bowdish, who d. in 1899 while serving
the ME Church on City Island. At the time, they were very helpful. It's
very possible that a large genealogical/historical library may have a run
of Conference Journals. They are full of all sorts of data on the local
churches, preachers, etc. They normally have an obit section of all the
clergy members of the Conference [& spouses] who died during the preceeding
year.
