Hello all !

I am looking for a lead on a family of Quakers from Ontario County c.1780s,
specifically Sarah Potter, daughter of a Nathaniel Potter. He was
supposedly one of its (Ontario Co.) earliest settlers and a member of the
Society of Friends.

Sarah Potter married my g-g-g-grandfather, Nathan Williams and they moved
to Erie Co., NY and then finally to Hillsdale Co., MI where they died, in
the 1850s.

I welcome leads or suggestions on ways to look for details on Sarah and
Nathan. Because NY counties apparently changed boundaries as they grew, I
am befuddled as to where to look for their records (if there would be any).
