Earlier I asked about a Hamilton City, in Amwill Twp., NY, but I
was told that there are no townships in NY state. So I am copying
directly from the records found in Philadelphia Geneological Society
Library:

Deed July 22, 1782
Edward Rice of Amwill township, Hamilton [??or Herkimer??] Cty NY
Taylor, Martha, his wife to John Rice of Buckingham

Does anyone have a clue where I should look for this Amwill ?
