Seeking information on Mary Shays and Samuel Givens.........Mary Shays is
the daughter of
Gilbert Shays.who died in Decatur, Otsego, NY...........Mary Shays
married about 1830 Samuel Givens of Decatur, Otsego, NY.

They were living in Lapeer Township, Cortland Co., NY in 1850. By 1833
the family was said to be residing at Etna, Tompkins Co., NY

They are buried at Willow Glen Cemetery

Children
are:1,Lester,2,Gilbert,3,Elizabeth,4,Helina,5,Lorinda,6,Emeline,7,Laurett
e,8,Joseph,
9,Charles.

Elizabeth and Helina both married Zephaniah Lupton, the son of Nathan
Lupton and Leah Givens. Leah Givens is the daughter of Samuel Givens
and Jane King who came to Dryden from Orange County, NY in about 1804.

We are trying to find out the connection between these two GIVENS
families............
