I am sorry if you have received this before, but I think I made some mistakes in my previous posting. I am `tracing the descendants of Karl Friedrich Gottlieb KOCH born 20 May 1837 in Gellmersdorf,Kreis Angermuende, Brandenburg, Prussia in Germany and died 12 Sept 1912 in Medina, New York. He was married to Augusta Maria Ernestina Kruger and emigrated to New York with his wife and five children: Frank, Wilhelm (William), Robert, George (my great-grandfather) and Anna, arriving in 1884. They arrived through the port of New York but settled in Medina, Orleans County, New York State. Karl sometimes used the name COOK in New York and was referred to as Charles, and many of his descendants do go by the name COOK. Anna married a Gustave or Ernest WODRICH and Wilhelm, or William as he was known, married someone by the name of Anna and had the following children: Leona, Esther, Edward or Edwin and Alfred. From Medina I believe the family spread to New York City and surrounding co!
unties. Further children were born in the United States one of whom was called Karl (Charles). George was my great-grandfather full name: George Carl Francis KOCH born 1874 in Schoenberg,Kreis Angermuende, Brandenburg, Prussia. In 1900, after studying at theological college in the United States, he moved from New York State to Adelaide, South Australia. Most of his descendants, including myself, live in Australia
