From the "Compendium of Early Mohawk Families" by Maryly B. Penrose I
find the following family:

John McARTHUR married Catherine McMARTIN on March 27, 1794

children:
1 unknown baptized on May 31,1795
Margaret b March 28, 1800 baptized May 25,1800
Duncan b November 15,1801 baptized December 23,1801

Particularly interested in the parents of John and Catherine.
For research purposes looking to see if the Duncan sited above is the
same one who married an Elizabeth (maiden name unknown) before 1831 and
settled in York, Livingston County NY. My research shows an 1801 birth
date and gives Johnstown NY as the place. Family originally from
Invernesshire in Scotland. Duncan's occupation is as a shoemaker.

Any assistance greatly appreciated and will gladly share my research.
