Subject: Succession Questions

I know that I've read somewhere that a family
compact existed between the house of Anhalt and
the house of Hohenzollern that gave the Prussian
Royal House succession rights in Anhalt upon the
extinction of the house of Anhalt. Does anyone
know details of this compact (including what date
the compact was signed)?

Also, when, in 1826, the Gotha branch of the
Ernestine Wettins was reorganized by family
compact (creating Saxe-Meiningen und
Hildburghausen, Saxe-Altenburg, and Saxe-Coburg
and Gotha), what succession rights between
branches were recognized? In other words, when
one branch became extinct (e.g., Saxe-Altenburg),
were other branches supposed to succeed in the
extinct branch's territory? If so, in what
order? Did the Meiningen, Altenburg, and Coburg
branches have succession rights in Weimar? If so,
what are the details of those rights? Did the
Albertine branch of the Wettin family have
succession rights in the Saxon Duchies?

I may have asked these questions about the Saxon
Duchies before, and if so, I apologize. But it
would have been a long time ago, and I've
forgotten what the answers were.
