Many thanks. I did find marriage certificate listing Hruska, but there is no
question she translated Hruskova to Peary when my father was born (midwife's
certificate). Until we received the midwife's information, my entire family
believed her name was Pear. But, then, my grandfather translated
Slepicka/Slepica to Chicken, the name I grew up with <smile>. Thanks again
for responding.
