Thanks to Joan for the welcome.

I am Carole Botwright, and I have been looking at many aspects of my
family research, not just dates, names and places.

This has come in useful as my middle daughter, aged 8, is "doing"
Victorians this term. She is possibly the most knowledgeable child in
her class now!

The other link we have with the past is that we keep ferrets!
However, we don't use them, they are just pets. We recently went to
Groombridge Place in Kent (near Tonbridge Wells) where there was a
medieval fayre - and the girls were thrilled to see that there was a
large area devoted to ferrets. When the owner realised that we liked
them, he got them all out and let the girls handle them. They really
enjoyed themselves, and I sneaked a cuddle too.

Looking forward to learning what other people regard as trivia!
