Oh you can be so nice.....but it still won't get you out of the
TRENCH...just yet!! :-)
Di
Across the hills and through the vales
A tremoring of the ground,
Signifies a fearful sound for maidens all around
That fearsome creature of the skies
Breathing fire and fumes,
Defying all and sunder, a wrath that doth consume.
Up spake the verily buxom Kween
Who’ll save my lands for me?
And free my fearful maidens from this monster speedily
We need a bold and fearless knight
The dragon, not to slay
To turn its head from evil to goodness in a day.
Just as those words were spoken
Her eyes were filled with glee
Up spake that ancient fearless knight,
Sir Ian of Tiptree
I’ll save those fearful maidens
From dragons far afoot
As long as my new visor isn’t covered with that soot
A good knight’s work is never done
For after dragons are despatched
for armour it needs polishing with good sealing wax
If your majesty commands
Dragon’s ways must change
Then I shall do my duty down Essex winding lanes.
Cheers
Guy
