Depends a bit where you are in Scotland. Some of the words below are Glasgow
and south-west. Others are Aberdeen and north-east (the Doric dialect) but
nowadays they tend to merge.

Trousers would be trews or breeks. (Farmworkers wore corduroy ones tied
beneath the knee with nicky-tams.)
A shirt would be a sark (a cutty sark is a short shirt)
A cardigan is a ganzy
and a singlet (undervest) is a semmit

A: To a semmitary
