And both - cooked properly - are wonderful ...

And to be honest - I thought it was sago I had at school, not tapioca ...

Semolina, or ground rice come to that, is a lovely pudding ... Made with
creamy milk and nutmeg stirred in ... Serve hot with a spoonful of treacle
drizzled through, or cold mixed with fresh fruit ... Much less fat than
double cream ...

Semolina as an ingredient in cakes is also so good, it makes the cake all
light and nutty ...

We used to have semolina at school, too. The dinner ladies would put a
spoonful of strawberry jam in the middle of it & we'd mix it in, leaving a
few lumps floating about & we'd call it - cue for dramatic music here -
MURDER IN THE SNOW !!!

Oh, & we also had frog spawn !!! You could feel each little round blob
slipping down your throat, couldn't you ? Bleurgh !!!
