Wouldn't have been my choice either - but it obviously saved quite a bit of
money.
Fairytale weddings ..... hummmmm. Are there such a thing; might one not
always think of something after the event that would have made it
better/changed it? Or are you comparing perhaps a short civil ceremony and
a more elaborate, possibly church ceremony? Or perhaps you are comparing a
simple church ceremony with something more elbaorate. I had a friend got
married in church just as you can in a registrar's office - just the vicar,
themselves and two witnesses - no arguments over who they would have as
guests etc ..... but the glitz was missing, was that what you were
referring to Sue?

daughter & I ...
Because I didn't have a "fairytale" wedding - & regretted it - I have always
had the notion that a woman's wedding day should be a very special day for
her ...
