As a chemistry teacher we made ethanol over the
Christmas holidays and charcoal distilled and distilled to
high 90 %. At least I know any student will survive another
depression if it includes a probation of alcoholic beverages.
Most problems with any home attempt is bad equipment
and unclean working conditions. Most home brew and home made
wine failures are caused by failure to properly sanitize the equipment.
I am rusty in procedure but it is always of interest to try in the
interest of science any experiment of culture exchange between
our countries.
My new code name will be reveled as C2-H5-OH
