Like so many other issues, the Soviets paid the bills, the Arabs train them,
the Cubans provide instructors, the Checks sell the weapons, the Swedes,
Dutch and Spanish sell the ammo and explosives and in other instances the
West does the same. Terrorism is a strange and stupid thing that accomplishes
so little at such a great cost. I see little difference in the bombing of an
aircraft by the Arabs or the bombing of a pharmaceutical company by a jet at
55,000 feet. Who is a terrorist and who is a freedom fighter is simply a
matter of which artificial line called a National border you happen to have
been placed on by an act of fate. I find great pride that Scotland is able to
provide what appears to have been a fair trial, and that we are seeking our
liberation via political means.
