I am looking for any further information on WATSON BROS (ship owners
of Glasgow, Scotland) in the years 1860 - 1928. The information
already known (below) was gathered from a variety of sources:

1860/61, Watson, Alexander - steamship agent and factor, 65 Jamaica St.
1866, Watson Bros - merchants, 62 Jamaica St.
1866-80, house address given as 102 Bath St, residence of Mr Thomas
Watson.
1885, Henry J. Watson - owner Ben Voirlich, 62 Jamaica St.
Owner Watson's Ben Line (Watson Bros), 5 Oswald st. Glasgow.
1912, Watson Brothers, managing owners for Watson Bros Shipping Co Ltd,
149 Vincent St., sole partner Thos Brownlie

A number of the above ships sailed regularly to Australia and NZ.
Note that, despite the prevalence of "Ben" in the names of the above
ships,
Watson Bros abandoned its title to the "Ben Line Steamer Co Ltd",
through amicable settlement, in the early 1900s.
