I have found that depending on the time of year in some instances or the
remoteness of the event, some entries are not recorded until the following
year.
Sometime the records were only forwarded annually, especially in remote
areas. This does cause a problem in genealogy, I suppose we are fortunate to
have all the BDMs made available. As for the omission of te groom, if I have
come across this, I usually can't find the bride either! You are one of the
lucky ones
