Your understanding is very wrong. The LDS is a lot more than the
FamilySearch site. Is is absolutely HUGE, as you would find out if you
used it. They have never encouraged the deposition of death information.
But, by the same token, they have never rejected it. You need to look at
the teachings of the church to understand why.
If you saw my message yesterday, you would have seen that in just the
Lethbridge entries from Devon, England, I have at least 12 death
records.
Certainly Death information is not frequent, but it certainly is there.
If anyone wants proof, I will post the Lethbridge death records that I
have and they can check for themselves in the 1992 IGI, on 'fiche.
