Subject: Question on a Death Cert

Hi All

This will probably sound like a really doppie question but...I have got
a death certificate for my Grandfather's mother in 1935.
On it it list her children that were still alive when she died but
beside my Grandfathers name it has been ticked. Does anyone know what
the tick means? Has anyone else had this.
