Hi,
I am looking for some advice. My computer frequently tells me it "cannot find server" but is still connected. I cannot search the net or send or receive e-mails. My ISP has spent hours & hours on it with me & feel they have exhausted all possibilities. Their advice was to have the modem & phone lines checked. The phone company says the line is fine as we are not experiencing telephone difficulties. We have had a warranty check done on the modem & the computer technition says it is definately the phone line & we will just have to put up with it as the phone company will not repair the line.
As soon as I disconnect & reconnect the problem is solved - for between 2 & 90 minutes. Naturally, since aquiring the internet our phone bill has escalated!
Can anyone tell me what our rights are & what we could do to solve this problem.
