For those with Chinese family in New Zealand, there is a book called
"The Poll-Tax in New Zealand: A research paper" by Nigel Murphy. Background
history. Can't see an ISBN. 1994. It does list information from the
Wellington Poll Tax butts. Says 1888-1930. c48pages of names. Name, born,
age, former residence, arrived by ship, from, Photo, amount paid, finger
prints, additional info.
Names are listed chronological. So very hard to search. Just can't offer to
do that!! But you might be able to borrow on Library interloan.
