Is anyone experimenting with reports in Genbox? If so, can you confirm the
following?
I'm using a custom OVERVIEW event as the first event in an Individual Detail
report. The purpose is to provide a brief overview or summary of the
individual's life. There is no citation for this event; it's strictly a
narrative introduction. The event template is simply [G]--i.e., the general note
for this event on the Individual View Events Page.
When an Individual Detail report is generated with this event (and others), an
extra period appears to be added by the program to the general note text. This
period is visible in the template preview and in the generated report. A period
does not appear to be generated in events that end with a citation.
I suppose a user could eventually learn to never end the last sentence in a note
with a period, if this is unavoidable. (But the problem remains when a note ends
not with a period but with a parenthesis, like this.)
