Hi, Wym,
No, I thought my result was correct. My point was that the search did
not crash the program and that perhaps Cheri's problem was unrelated to
the design of the search feature.
My result was inconsistent, however, with other kinds of searches. I
searched for a specific word in the annotation field of a citation. The
search returned the name of one individual for whom the target word
appears in two separate citations. If I were to search only for a
specific event, the search would return the names of individuals linked
to the target event--but it would repeat an individual's name as many
times as there were links between that person and the target event. In
the annotation example, there were two occurances per individual, and
the individual's name was returned once. In the other example, if there
were five occurances for an individual, that individual's name would be
returned five times.
Best,
Don
