Here's what you need to do to suppress a marriage: On the Family tab with
the person who wish to suppress as the other half of the couple, i.e., where
it says 'Family 1,' etc., tick "Exclude." Then you ALSO need to Exclude the
marriage event itself. Excluding only one of these two items doesn't do the
trick. It requires both. I've only tested this with marriages where there
are no offspring. What happens in that circumstance will have to be tested.
