A quick update on the progress of my php code for displaying websites (see
http://www.hoosierroots.com ). It has improved, with the biggest "to do" yet
being making the Library section work better.

I am also working on the code to display sources, witnesses, pedigree chart,
and descendent list.

My intention is that when I have "finished" the code I will work out an
arrangement to share it with those interested, with 2 caveats - 1) I do not
intend to profit, 2) I do not intend to formally support it. I have a full
time job, kids, volunteer relatively extensively, and - want to devote the
majority of my "free" time to my own research.

Being written in php has its advantages and disadvantages. On the plus side
all I have to do to update my site is to copy my Genbox database to the web
server. On the down side - being written in php requires a certain level of
technical savvy to get it up and running.

I have primarily written this program to serve my own needs, but would like
to help out the Genbox community if I can. In my dreams someday I would take
the basic concept and rewrite it into a Genbox add-on that would create a
set of static pages to be posted to more traditional web sites. Perhaps
after the kids all graduate someday..... (except, I fully expect that by
then Bill will have addressed this issue.)

Hi Joe,

Nice sites, and nice to see plumber-fashion is international :-)
Deborah Wesley has also created a php-site using Genbox at
http://www.hoosierroots.com/

I'm currently studying asp.net to do the same but it will take quite
some time before I can show anything.
