Hello all,

Let me apologize to start--I know this topic has been addressed before.
But after looking in the archives and reading various posts, I'm still
in the dark. This may give you a hint as to the level of sophistication
of my computer skills!

I have a new laptop on which I've loaded Genbox. After backing up my
database on my desktop, I e-mailed the database file to myself,
downloaded the file to my laptop, opened Genbox, and started working. So
far so good.

I am having trouble, however, figuring out how I now update the
database on my desktop, now that I have several hours' worth of new data
entry on the laptop. Can anyone share some step-by-step instructions?
(I've seen others request these before, and maybe my archive-searching
skills are also suspect, but I haven't been able to find any such
instructions on this list.)

Also, a simple question. My desktop version of my database has links to
photographs in files external to the Genbox database. I don't propose to
copy these external photograph files on to the laptop. My working
assumption is that working back and forth between laptop and desktop on
my database won't effect these links to external media in the desktop
version of my database (or my various templates and preferences on my
desktop copy of Genbox).

Many thanks for suggestions anyone may have for this
"not-computer-literate-enough" Genbox user!
