Cheri,

I'm up late so I checked EE! to see what I could find. Those histories are familiar to all of us in the U.S. I am sure, and often are somewhat of a vanity publication where family contributors write their own family histories for inclusion in a county history.

While those individual contributors are not exactly like the individual authors in a formal collaboration between writers who plan and produce a work, albeit with separately authored chapters, it still seems to me that is should be handled the same way.

Thus it appears to me that section 12.64 on p. 701 of EE! would apply and would generate a citation like this:

Caspar, Cheri, "Caspar Family of Podunk County," in Jane Doe, compiler, History of Podunk County, Any State, pp. 100-109.

How does that seem?

Mike
