I've been told about DropBox, but my computer guru has warned me repeatedly
not to use any on-line backup service, so I have been hesitant to do so.

Subject: [GENBOX] Dropbox - backing up Genbox
I'm in backup heaven!
Dropbox is an incredibly simple, secure and elegant solution to backing up
your files to an online server.
I'm using it as my primary backup for Genbox, and it's free!
Dropbox provides 2Gb of online storage for the free service, which is more
than enough for Genbox.
Once your Genbox database(s) has/have been initially copied to the Dropbox
servers (this can take a few minutes), then every time you make changes and
updates, these are automatically copied for you on exiting Genbox.
And this is fast, as Dropbox only copies the changed portions of the
database(s).
Dropbox also automatically keeps a history snapshot of every changed copy of
a Genbox database made in the last 30 days, and recoverying a copy is as
simple as selecting from a list.
If you have several computers (home, office, laptop), then by installing
Dropbox on each one, your Genbox database(s) is/are automatically 'synced '
to each device with an internet connection.
How it works. Dropbox creates a folder named 'My Dropbox' in your 'My
Documents' folder (by default, but you can nominate to have it elsewhere).
You then move any files that you would like automatically backed up, into
this folder. That's it!
So for Genbox, move your .GDB database(s) into the 'My Dropbox' folder. Then
when using Genbox, you will need to open your database(s) from here.
You can find out more about Dropbox and download it at
https://www.dropbox.com.
