Hi

It seems fairly obvious to me that Bill only works on Genbox in
his spare time and so progress depends upon work commitments etc.,
So I agree, sadly, that it is time to move on. I have a copy of TMG
but I don't like the interface. Wife uses FTM which is okay but seems
a bit limited and I have trouble importing/ exporting multimedia
items.
I have now purchased Family Historian and it is very powerful,
handles sources well and is the best package I have used for managing
multi-media items.
I would recommend that you take a serious look at the program and
don't think you will be disappointed.

I also already own older copies of Family tree maker and The Master
Genealogist. I liked TMG, but found Genbox to have better charts,
among many other features.

It seems that it may be time to move on, if I can find a product
that does the things I require. I recently saw an entry on Eastman's
newsletter about Family Historian. A quick perusal looks promising.
Time for an in-depth review.

I am sad about the apparent and unnecessary demise of an excellent
product.

I have actually spent the money on copies of Legacy, RootsMagic and
TMG.

Don't know if "non-familiarity" is breeding my contempt for them
but, I just can't seem to grasp how the other three actually will
work for my data and also work for me. Will just keep testing the
waters and see if I could live with another in the case of an
official death for Genbox. I know version 3 is working for the most
part and I could continue to use it as it sits but, I wonder if I
feel comfortable in putting all my data in a non-sustainable product.

Continuing on til I find better,
