If you see a small bird with bright red plumage on its chest in a garden
in Britain in the winter, the chances are it's a robin rather than a
North American cardinal on vacation. :)
I think we can tell from the context (only large cities would have a
'Lord Mayor') that he means Bradford WRY. (That's Yorkshire, West Riding
BTW).
