Sheryl,

I think you are looking for Fortis Green which is shown as a district on
my map of Muswell Hill in 1894, there is a Fortis Green Road and a
Fortis House also shown on this map available from my emporium.

The area is located between East Finchley and Muswell Hill which was
then within the Urban Disctrict of Hornsey to the north of London.
