Unfortunately it is possible that, for various reasons, "your"
Thomsons may not have registerd their children in the kirk
registers. They may have belonged to another denomination (the
Scottish presbyterian church split several times over various
issues of doctrine & politics; there were still some Catholics;
they may have just not been church-going people) or possibly there
may be gaps in that parish's register.
