Mick,
Thank you for your information, but this card doesn't sound the same. my grandmother's card is dirty brown, and has no space for a date.

>From the look of the handwriting, I guess that it was issued in the first world war, not the second, although then the trade of "harness stitcher" does sound a bit parachute related. But, she was 53 in 1940, and died in 1942.
