As an ex-Civil Servant myself, I freely admit to having a prejudice
against the attitude to work, indifference to the public, and being
'owed a living' that I have seen amongst the vast majority of my former
colleagues.

In short my prejudice *is* reasoned and is based on practical and
personal experience. If you wish to pursue the topic with me, please do
so outside this news group as it has nothing to do with genealogy.
