I have a birth certificate for an ancestor of my wife's, Charlotte Saunders,
born on 19/3/1871, in which the mother (Lucy Riden)'s address is given as
simply "by church Ystradyfodwg" (Ystradyfodwg is the Rhondda parish). Any
explanations for this odd address? They don't appear to be itinerants or
similar - the father's occupation is Engine Stoker.
