My grandfather, David Thomson, was born in the village of Crook in
1872. A researcher has turned up records that show he had 2 brothers
and 2 sisters of which I had no knowledge. They are George (1868),
James (1869), Margaret Ellen (1875) and Mary Ann (1879). I believe the
latter married a Stephen Tyrell in 1903. My grandfather went south to
England and it has been suggested that the rest of the family may have
gone to Edinburgh. If anyone can shed any light on what happened to
these great uncles and aunts of mine, I should be happy to hear it.
