Aha: the top posting versus bottom posting versus snipping argument.
The correct method IMHO is to snip the irrelevant stuff, leaving in
precisely those bits you wish to reply to and then interleave those bits
with your replies, as I have done...
Further it is a good thing to set your software to use the standard
chevrons to indicate quoted material. Even Microsoft Outlook can, I am
told, be persuaded to do that.
The troubles with top postings are:
(a) You may not have seen the previous posting so have to scroll down
all over to find that on earth the top-posted reply is about.
(b) The tendency is to leave the whole of the original post below,
unsnipped and causing bandwidth problems for those people who pay for
every minute that they are on-line.
So I disagree with you!
