Subject: Family FRANCIS from Goa (1799)

Hello Researchers!
This might be a long shot,
But please hear me out as you might be able to help me!
I'm looking for decendants of:
Emanuel Alexander intveld FRANCIS, he was born
in Padang Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia)in 1835
he died in Batavia D.E.I. 1871 and was married approximately
in 1860 to ELSABETH PURVIS.
Old family papers tell me that after HIS dead his
widdow with their 3 sons, William, Edward and Arthur
went to Canada. Unfortunately we do not know from where
they sailed and where the landed in Canada.
we so far found out that "Francis" is a rather common
familyname - but who knows - some of you out there might
have some valuable information.
the ancestors of this FRANCIS family came from
"The coast of Malabar" Goa - India - from Brittish ancestry
The first known ancestor was Alexander Francis, merchant
in Goa - died there after 1799. His wife possibly from
Portugese ancestry is said to be a cousin of the Gouvernor
of Goa - Her name was Anna Josepha de Villa Franca, she died
Alape on the coast of Malabar December 1799.
