I don't get daily junk from Rootsweb either. Master list? Who cares, as long
as it isn't broadcast?

As is Rootsweb. I haven't paid a penny for the last several years.

As are Rootsweb's lists.

You just announced duplication of every county rootsweb list....

However simple you make it, users will manage to make a mess of it. The
Rootsweb lists aren't exactly difficult (send a message with the word
'subscribe' or fill in a form on the web site).

I've never had trouble searching the rootsweb lists. I fail to see the
difference between comprehensive search facilities and 'brilliantly
searchable'

That sounds a little xenophobic to me Rod :0)
I am subscribed to 5 county lists at Rootsweb. The messages come from all
over the World. I really don't give a monkey's cuss whether the central
server is in the US, UK, or Timbuktu, as long as the messages arrive on my
machine when I ask.
If you can persuade Rootsweb to close their lists, and get everyone onto
your lists, then it'll be 'a good thing' Until then, it'll be a pain
in the posterior having to subscribe to 10 lists instead of 5.

Dave
