The question is does everyone know that the other mailing lists exist
How does one find a mailing list
It was quite a process before I found the Rootsweb lists which I presume is
what is meant by the duplicated
But it is quite clear many people do not know those lists are there
Even those on one List do not seem to know how they found it.
I strongly suspect that it might be easy to find British-Genealogy.com

As for counties similar for surname lists and message boards - I am not sure
why there are surname lists as there are message boards
but all to the good. One surname list of my interest seems very quiet but
the boards are active.

The point is all this helps - cousins looking around have plenty of chances
to find something on one of these various places.
I always have a worry about everything being in Rootsweb suppose it
folded........................
The more the merrier

Good point - I like the way I can find posts on rootsweb doing google etc
searches
I assume not possible with the new lists
