Or even an absent minded Vicar who sent in the returns from two quarters at
the end of the second period, even though he had previously submitted the
first quarter entries.
Happened with a Suffolk parish 1838, and no doubt in other districts in
other years.
The marriage records of England and Wales are strewn with errors, the topic
of Mike Foster's excellent publications.
