It's based on gut instinct which has served me well for over 40
years.

If you had listened to as many stories as I have of people who had
had miniature radio transmitters planted in their brain by MI5 so
the secret services could listen in to their thoughts, or who were
receiving messages from aliens, or who were convinced the man in the
off-licence round the corner was an extra-terrestrial planning to
take over the earth, and other similar nonsense, you would be
cynical, too !

In any case, I am always suspicious of people who pose
hypothetical questions to this list while refusing to reveal all the
facts. It makes it impossible to take them seriously.
