I wonder if someone could point me in the right direction for a brick wall
I
have hit. I have got a marriage certificate for Hannah Bickley, with
father
down as George Bailey ( http://homepage.ntlworld.com/s.fisher6/hannah.JPG
but this might take some time to load). However the signature or mark is
for
Hannah Bailey.
To make things worse, she is entered as 20 in 1872, but in 1881 census she
is down as born in 1856. I am assuming 1856 is probably her real dob, and
the marriage date was "enhanced". My problem is that I can't find her with
any certainty on the 1861 or 71 census because of not knowing her name or
her age.
Since she married in 1872, I figured if I could find the husband in 1871,
I
might be able to place her, but he has disappeared as well (tho' the rest
of
his family seem to be in Yorkshire)
Any pointers where I should look next??
