Ok, Dave, I will educate you (don't know if this is even possible, man
of your _vast_ experience - of course, I have no knowledge of this).
There are two basic types of moderation:
Type ONE: Before the article is posted, it is screened, by either
human robots or script robots.
Type TWO: After the article is posted in what has been referred to as
"after the horse has left the barn".
You exercise Type TWO. You do this when you see something, typically a
post by someone that has left their "real name" off a post and that
bothers you so you post (by your actions and statements); so that the
world knows that you've caught another horse that has escaped from the
barn. It is moderation, whether you wish to accept it or not.
This newsgroup is not moderated, and was never designed to be. When I
was "hunting" trolls, you said to me many times to "ignore the
trolls", the application of which pertained to people that choose to
post anonymously. So, to you I say your own words "ignore the trolls".
Of course, this is unproductive chatter, Dave never errors and I've
been told he has been seen walking on water.
