Subject: WINDOWS ME?

Need some information on Windows ME. Family member with new Compaq has
this program installed on purchase. When trying to install a small
program for a Wingman Extreme Digital 3D Joystick the computer freezes
completely. Tech help said downloading and installling updated drivers
might help.
Please answer these questions:
1. If a computer comes with Windows ME already installed, can it be
uninstalled. (I think the answer is no but need confirmation please).
2. If answer is "no" then why not? (A lengthy explanation is probably
required on this question).
3. Can Windows 98 be installed over or with Windows ME? (Again, I think
I know the answer, but need expert help).
A young family member with his first computer is going nuts with Windows
ME - please help.
